Hot Tub Owner Loves his New Hot Spring Spa with SilkBalance

I absolutely love our new Hot Spring spa!

I travel out of town for work 5 days a week and the first thing I do after being on the road for a week is to kiss my wife and jump into the tub.

The feature I like the most about our spa is the fresh water and the Silk Balance water conditioner.

I have dry skin and all of the other hot tubs I have been in leave my skin dry and itchy. With the SilkBalance product I can soak in the tub before and after a round of golf without drying out my skin.

Question of the Day: Why Has Olympic Hot Tub Company Switched to SeaKlear Spa Products?

One of our Olympic Hot Tub customers, Barbara Erickson, Hot Spring Spa Sovereign model owner, sent an email with this question on Monday: “Why the change from Spa Essentials to SeaKlearSpa products? Do you own SeaKlear?”

After falling out of my chair with laughter at that last part, and, no, we don’t own SeaKlear. I thought of all of the reasons why we switched. Switching to another chemical line was a very hard decision. This is only our 3rd product line in 34 years. The first, Portland based Little Chemical, went out of business leaving us with no product to sell. SpaEssentials came to the rescue. However, SpaEssentials went through a reorganization. We no longer had a local rep. We were increasingly worried about our pricing structure and the ease of obtaining products. So the following are the reasons we made the switch to SeaKlear: proven safe, tested for effectiveness and environmentally conscious and best of all Made In America.

1. LOCAL COMPANY. SeaKlear is a local company based in Bothell, Washington. All products are made in Washington. The shipping is far less and that is part of our Green message. Buy Local.

2. MADE IN AMERICA. ALL of their spa/hot tub products are MADE in America. They are tested, proven safe and effective. They must pass strict EPA standards-the strictest standards in the world. We feel that American made products for spas and hot tubs are vitally important for personal safety. We do not sell any products made offshore due to the big risk of pollutants and the lack of testing and safety standards. We do not want our customers to sit in vats of unknown chemicals with possible dire side effects!

3. SEAKLEAR RECYCLES. SeaKlear recycles crab shells for it’s clarifier. Waste products that would otherwise be dumped into Puget Sound and other waters are used for their clarifier.

4. CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. SeaKlear has a dedicated hot line from 6:30AM-4Pm PST Monday through Friday 1-866-99-KLEAR to answer any questions that consumers have about their products. Even before our stores open at 10AM, our customers can reach a live, LOCAL person for help and assistance in getting their hot tub water clear and clean.

5. SAVE MONEY. We have been able to save customers money by switching to SeaKlear and buying locally. Their products are less expensive, the shipping is less and we have passed the savings onto our customers.

6. CUSTOMER RESPONSIVE. SeaKlear has been very responsive to the needs of our customers. They have produced sizes for us that corresponded to the SpaEssentials sizes so customers had an easier time with the switch over. They have been working for two years (that is, it has taken two years to get EPA approval due to bureaucratic backlogs) to have a combined chlorine/shock ready for our customers. It will be available this month!! Our SilkBalance customers are overjoyed. Now only one product in addition to SilkBalance will be needed to maintain clean, clear, sanitary water!

7. RECYCLE YOUR USED CONTAINERS. We can recycle all SeaKlear bottles. In fact, bring in an empty Seaklear container and you’ll receive $1.00 off your next purchase.

Story of a Hot Tub Sale: Customer and Saleswoman Hug at the End!

Here’s a story of the perfect way to buy a hot tub from Linda Wood in the Fife Olympic Hot Tub Company store. It’s the story of a sale and how Linda listened to her customer, Gloria M. She found out why Gloria needed a spa; she’s suffering from juvenile arthritis. She heard that Gloria was interested in easy care, so the ACE Salt Sanitizing system was the perfect answer for her. And, most interesting is how careful a shopper Gloria was. She looked at our Zip code book, read all of the reviews on Google Maps, and took the advice of friends.
Here’s the story:
“Gloria has had juvenile arthritis since she was 3 years old. She shopped a few places before coming here. Rich’s, Aqua Rec Swimming Hole…..and then this day, at work, she had 2 different people say that she should take a look at Olympic (she works at a Credit Union) so she thought there must be something to this (we call this a “sign”, don’t you?) It’s great she trusted her intuition. So, she stopped by after work.
She needed a spa that she could get out of easily (her arthritis makes it difficult)so the Prodigy seemed like a good fit. She was someone that soaked-up every bit of information that came her way (she was into it)…from the zip code directory, to every single written review that we have on our closing table. Since she read all those, I also went ahead and printed the Google reviews for her to take home to her husband as well. (Awesome reviews!!)
As for easy care, the ACE Salt system was a huge selling point for her. (Note: the ACE system is selling like hot cakes). She loved the idea of it!! She was first going to wait until she could take the information to her husband this weekend. But then she called him….THEY talked. She put him on the phone to me…..WE talked. Next thing you know, she said it was really the spa she wanted and she was just going to go ahead and get it. Very nice gal, I’m glad she is our customer
We hugged…and she went on her way.”

Shopping for a hot tub or spa? Take your time. Look over all reviews and letters from satisfied customers. Be a careful shopper.

And, the most important: have such good rapport with your sales person that you hug at the end . It doesn’t get any better than that in the process of buying anything. It will only get better when she gets the spa and starts to experience the pain relief that she’s looking for.
